Olympian Winner
Aristotle had just taken on a new student, Alexander. The boy was only 13. His dad Phillip had explained why Alexander’s education was so important…Alexander would someday rule all of Greece. Today was Aristotle’s first day as the new teacher. He was settling into his new quarters. The vases in his room and the vases outside of his room on the patio were rimmed with this simple leaf pattern similar to the laurel wreath of an Olympian winner.
Aristotle could see the power of consistency, the strength of symbol, the repetition of intent. Aristotle could feel that his teaching this child could move the needle of history. This morning he was to meet his new student.
Our Olympian Winner ring is one of our most powerful designs. The pattern steps directly from the winner’s circle of ancient Greece. The pattern is bequeathed by the gods of Mount Olympus. The symbol today is bestowed upon a lady of contemporary times with a gem of color, echoing the secrets of life on earth and the magic of gem creation deep within.
Each of our Olympian Winner rings is unique. Each gem tells its own story of creation. Each gem foretells a great future, yet to be revealed.

What Does the Olympic Wreath Represent?
The early history of the wreath dates back to the 8th century BC. In ancient times wreaths made from laurel, ivy, olive leaves, oak, wheat, and vines were worn as crowns by Etruscan rulers. In ancient Rome and Greece, wreaths were used to represent a person’s status or accomplishments.
A laurel wreath is made of branches and leaves of the laurel, a type of evergreen shrub or small tree. In Ancient Rome, it was worn on the head as a symbol of triumph. The symbol of the laurel wreath is from Greek mythology. The Romans adopted the symbol because they admired Greek culture.
The Olympic Wreath is a sign of victory originating from ancient Green mythology and the early Olympic games. Ancient laurel wreaths are most often depicted as a horseshoe shape, modern versions are usually complete rings.

The Most Significant Find of Tourmaline
Anywhere in the World is Happening in Maine
Right Now
One of Maine’s most famous tourmaline mines laid fallow for nearly 100 years, then a young guy came along with faith and vision, bought the property, and began exploring for gems again, and as they say, “The rest is history”.
We are pleased to report the old gem mine is now producing SparHawk Mint Green Teal Tourmaline – the world’s newest tourmaline find and at the moment the most important tourmaline discovery in the world.
SparHawk Mint Green Teal Tourmaline is a rare color of green, the result of a unique chemistry of the rock in this part of Maine. This chemistry has created the brightest, most brilliant gemmy green tourmaline we’ve ever had the privilege to offer.
Since this new discovery, we’ve created an amazing collection of SparHawk tourmaline jewelry. This is an exciting time in Maine history. We show many of our SparHawk pieces of jewelry online.
