Blue Sapphire & Diamond Ring
Kensington is the rare combination of a luxury lace ring and an active wear design for modern women. Lacework and diamonds exquisitely detail the upper half of the ring. At mid-shoulder, two elongated lotus blossoms are set with sixteen graduated diamonds. Four additional accent diamonds (one each front and back, left and right) are recess-set in a pear motif. Scrolling tracery fills the spaces in between.
Perfectly protected, the center sapphire is snug and secure within its full rim of white gold. Kensington’s surfaces are smooth to the touch, comfortable to wear. Glove-snug and jean-friendly… it’s a little bit of luxury you can take with you wherever you go.
Although it is part of our London Royal Collection, the Kensington is a 21st century American design and is made right here in America. The Kensington and the London Royal Collection derive their inspiration from lacework detail found on palace gates in and around London, England.
Cross’ Passion for Blue Sapphire
Most Jewelers say the darker the better,
We say the bluer the better
People often comment on how blue our sapphires are, how brilliant and pure the color. We believe in blue, pure true blue. True blue is a medium toned blue. True blue is not navy or inky dark. True blue is bright and brilliant. True blue sapphires are shades of blue you can relax into; they calm, comfort and soothe.
If You Love Blue
Many sapphires are simply too dark. Often to see the blue in these sapphires you’d need to stand under intense direct light. In its finest qualities, a blue sapphire should be blue under normal life lighting conditions – home, office, and outdoors; not just under the bright showcase lights of a jewelry store.
Chosen One at a Time
Most jewelers prefer dark sapphires because they are easier to source and easier to match. Our sapphire jewelry starts with the selection of the individual gem. We choose gems one at a time, and evaluate them under different lighting conditions to find the best performing sapphires. The result is a gem which is bright, blue, and brilliant – everything you want in a sapphire.
This process takes more time and it results in the best, brightest, and truest bluest sapphire jewelry. The jewelry is then specially crafted to fit the gem.
