Nancy said to me last night, “I’m ready to go on a Viking Cruise.” I said, “We can’t. The world situation is still such that I don’t feel comfortable yet.”

We’d talked about it several years ago, and she put it off, she wasn’t ready. Now it’s me saying no. I want to go, I really do. The boat, the accommodations, the fine dining aboard, the discoveries on shore, the fellow travelers…it all sounds like the absolute perfect trip…except not at this moment. The timing even just the flight over… well, you know.

Tonight we sat with the catalog (ironically, the Viking catalog arrived in the mail this morning) to plan a bit further out. In the meantime, Nancy and my anniversary is coming up and I’m considering the Blue Danube necklace and earrings.

When you go, meet us on the top deck for dinner.
We’ll be there when Nancy and I are really ready.
