Cattails Humming in the Breeze Diamond Bracelet

I have a small stream that feeds a freshwater marsh. It runs strong in March, April, and May, with enough water to bring to life seven small waterfalls. In May, cattail spears appear. In what seems like only a few weeks, 5′, 6′, 7′ spears leaf out and dwarf we humans in what looks like a huge grass jungle. I log a dozen hours every month sitting by my stream, listening to the birds, listening to the waterfalls, while waiting for the cattail leaves to get big enough for afternoon sea breezes to catch the leaves. They vibrate and hum when the wind is of the right direction and velocity.

I sit with hands behind my head and play the part of an old timer with all the time in the world as I listen to nature’s symphony.
