We have a Celtic cross made for us in England by a 200-year-old company that makes jewelry for English royalty. The Celtic cross, also known as the Irish Cross or High Cross, can be found in graveyards all over Scotland, Ireland, and England. This is a classic Christian cross with a circle at its center, beautifully chiseled in stone with eternal knot patterns woven through.

Quality

The cross is 1.18mm thick, which is quite heavy, thicker, and heavier than most Christian Crosses in gold. It has a nice weight, a nice heft, a solid feel. We show it here in a ¾ view to illustrate the thickness of the cross. The cross is made in 18K yellow gold, a nice high karat that adds to the richness of color, the preciousness, and the weight of the piece.

The engraving is done by hand. It’s deeply carved, designed to last five lifetimes. The patterns duplicate the spirit of the hand-carved stone crosses in Scotland, Ireland, and England.The chain is a woven wheat chain, visually a nice balance to the cross. Even though the cross is 18K gold, we typically use a 14K gold chain on everything because it lasts longer.
