Pleasant Emerald Earrings

This pair of earrings illustrates several stories. The emeralds were found in Colombia South America. Are they spectacular… no. Are they nice… yes! Emerald though is rare. Exquisite emeralds for earrings are almost impossible. We had one pair once 35 years ago, they were two breathtakingly beautiful natural emeralds, an exquisite matched pair. We bought them loose, showed them to a customer he wanted them mounted like this pair we’re showing. We proceeded and unfortunately chipped one of the pair. We told our customer and said we would find another pair. We looked for over a year and could find nothing that compared anywhere in the world. We told our customer. He fired us and has never spoken to us again.

 Sometimes we will go three, four, even five years, and not find a single pair of emerald earrings we’re willing to add to our collection. When asked about emeralds, we just say no. This is one of the rare moments that we actually have a nice pair. One just one pair. The last pair of emerald earrings was in 2017. Are these perfect? No! Are these exquisite? No! Would we brag and boast about these emeralds? No. We would say they are pleasant they are emerald green and they are 5mm, a nice size… They are set in 14k white gold 3 prong martini setting friction pierced posts. It may be another 3 to 5 years before we find another pair that are as good. We can say emerald earrings are rare. They really are.
