On a Night Drive
When I was three we drove to Florida. My dad was 22, his goal was to make it from Maine to Florida in less than 24 hours. He did it and we survived 4 winter trips. I, as a three-year-old, remember several of these trips. Time and motion for a three-year-old drift in dream time. I remember headlights, roadside reflectors dancing and floating in the dark night air, moving left – moving right. When in actuality it was us turning on a road, turning left or turning right. And yes, yellow and red were colors more strongly associated with that night marathon ride to Florida.
Somehow this “French Blue” sapphire surrounded by 20 little diamonds really did remind me of age 2, 3, and 4, riding in the night to Florida. The white gold circle slides freely on an 18” white gold chain. The chain places the gem 2” from your heart.
