I’ve said this before – I think this is the prettiest, most practical, most beautiful ring in the world. Our designer, Keith, spends a month or two in Southeast Asia each year hunting for the prettiest blue sapphires. He reviews hundreds just to select one because he’s looking to find a gem that’s beautiful by day and glows in the shadows at night.
The design From Sea to Shining Sea is set with an oval gem flowing east to west across the finger. Women love this. At the open ends of the color center are two sets of three diamonds which graduate out into the wings. All gems are set low, all surfaces are smooth, all gems are securely set. This is a ring to love for generations. This will sound crazy coming from the seller…if you could have only one ring this would be it.
In some part of my romantic imagination, I can see myself 150 years ago as crew on an American clipper ship. The work is hard, the days are long, the food is interesting. After passing the tip of South America, as our ship heads into the Pacific, I see this ring with the sun sparkling like diamonds on blue waves all the way to China.

From Sea to Shining Sea
My Favorite
Trade Wind Ring – R.H.P.
I like blue. I like the ocean. I’m fascinated by the comings and goings of the tides. I’m mesmerized by the waves at the shore. I’ve watched the ocean all my life. Now, my fascination with blue doesn’t make a bit of a difference relative to your decision to acquire a medium blue sapphire piece of jewelry. Except, a lighter blue sapphire is prettier and we hunt them down.
What I do know is everyone loves the sea. I’ve never met or seen anyone ever go to the seashore and stand back to the open ocean. Everyone loves the sea…and almost everyone’s favorite gem is blue sapphire. We work hard to find the best medium blue sapphires, not dark, inky blue, but bright, brilliant, open, airy, lively, sparkly blue sapphires. Sapphires that are beckoning you closer. Sapphires that are entreating you to look a second, and a third time, blue sapphires that are so pretty you can’t look away.
Keith is the designer of From Sea to Shining Sea. He spent several years in the navy aboard a ship. He did not hold an illustrious position in the navy. He was crew. He sailed all over the world. He became intrigued with gems and bought gems he liked in the various ports he visited and began making jewelry. He taught himself fine jewelry design. His creations are low profile, solid, practical, wearable, durable, and always beautiful. He remembered crossing the Pacific and its long stretch of open ocean. His From Sea to Shining Sea ring is an oval or round gem, almost always blue sapphire, then sparkling light on the water with graduated white diamonds down the sides. This is a ring of legend.
Why We Love This Ring
I like good design. Keith’s Sea To Shining Sea Ring is one of the prettiest rings in the world. Heck, I’ll say it straight out that it is the prettiest ring in the world. It has an oval blue Sapphires at its center. Blue is the color of life. Blue is the color of our world. Blue is everyone’s favorite gemstone. Blue is the color of the sea and sky.
We set our colored gem east to west on the finger. On either end we show a collection of graduated high white natural earth-mined diamonds. Sea To Shining Sea sits low on the hand. Sea To Shining Sea is smooth to the touch. Sea To Shining Sea looks awesome on the hand. Once you acquire it, you will receive a lifetime of compliments.
