Galaxy Meteorite Necklace

Item #: X4113

From a telescope called “Hubble”, in a galaxy a long time ago, far, far away, there are, as Carl Sagan would say, “billions and billions of galaxies with a gazillion stars within them.” Our Galaxy pendant is a spiral with a precious piece of meteorite poised within a little piece of interstellar space. Meteorite Necklace

Same guy, two different days, two somewhat similar perspectives on space and our place in it:

Deep Space Magic

Our galaxy, the Milky Way, is a spiral. In our universe a billion other galaxies are spirals too. At the center of our Sterling Silver galaxy we have placed a metallic meteorite, an interstellar space traveler. This meteorite has been out there in deep space whizzing about for over 4 billion years, now captured for you.

About these Meteorites

Campo Del Cielo Meteorites are from a meteorite fall that occurred 4,000 to 5,000 years ago in Argentina. These meteorites are part of the largest meteorite fall ever recorded.

The Campo Del Cielo meteorites are considered among the most interesting shaped meteorites. One of the distinctive features of these meteorites is often one or several sides have a flattened surface.

Meteorites are pieces of another planet over 4 billion years old, older than anything on Earth, and comprised of iron, nickel, cobalt, and other rare trace elements.
