Racing Star Necklace
My redheaded grandmother would get up early to walk the beach every morning. When I stayed with her we walked together. She often picked up starfish and brought them back to the cottage. In back of the garage was a long white-washed table. She would arrange the starfish there to dry. There were many positions for arms and legs. Her favorite though was what she called the racing star, a position that looked like a starfish racing across a beach. She saved them to give out to children when they visited. This is my grandmother’s racing star.
