When the tourist kids came in July and August we had many places to show off. Everyone’s favorites were the full moon, low tide, tidal pools. We’d roll big rocks over to find starfish and sea urchins clinging to the undersides.
Hold a starfish in the palm of your hand long enough, tiny tentacles come out, they first tickle then find their footing and stick to the hand…tourist kids thought we were magicians. Scallop shells…we had secret places to find those too.
