Yes, We’re Honoring This Week’s Snow on Palm Trees…
If you live in Michigan, reports of snow in Florida are no big deal. If you live in Florida and there’s snow on the beach, your kids just made their first snowman, and they have told you they want to take skiing lessons…I’m sure you’re impressed with what has just occurred.
Our “Snow Opal” is one way we celebrate winter in the north. It’s what we northerners know happens to the land, the hills and streams and ponds, when snow touches the earth…Yes, snow is part of the magic we know in the north. Congratulations Florida, Louisiana, and Texas, as we share a part of our northern winter magic.

“Snow Opal”* Pendant
These gems are pure magic, old New England winter scenes. Here captured in fields of white are frozen ponds and streams, snow hills and valleys, and snow covered open fields. They are winter white perfect, over the river and through the woods, trees in black lace silhouetted against a winter-gray sky. Think ice-covered grasses, Queen Ann’s Lace, black crows on the wing, twilight winter’s sleep, and stars in the sky.
These are up-country old New England winter days in natural gem, surrounded in Sterling Silver. Each is a one-of-a-kind. All are beautiful.
Some “Snow Opals” are hills and valleys, cliffs and crevasses. Some are open fields with trees on the margins and some, just some, are ice skating ponds with a stretch of smooth ice with snow around the edges. It’s like you’re looking from above. There is much to study in each of these “Snow Opals” of nature.
*”Snow opal” is its name. The gem material is a natural agatized quartz.
