Our name is Cross. A few years ago we were surprised to realize that the number one search on our website was “Cross”. At that time we only had a few Christian Crosses on our website. Since that big revelation, we’ve added a few really nice crosses each year.
We take our name and the Christian cross very seriously. We test designs. This open design cross people seem to love. We’ve now made it with a SparHawk mint-green-teal Maine tourmaline, from Maine’s newest and most active tourmaline mine. The color of the gem is a light, minty, spring green.
The gem and its size, 5mm, wouldn’t appear to be a challenge, in fact, 5mm SparHawk is one of the most difficult sizes in SparHawk to come by. The 5mm size is too big a size to ship overseas for cutting and the 5mm is too small for our US-based cutters to cut, so it’s a rare size. We had four gems and we mounted all four into this Christian cross design. We had faith that four of you were just waiting for the opportunity to have one of these rare Christian crosses set with this new gem mined in Maine’s western mountains.
