This is a mini mountain. Maine tourmaline is found in the western mountains of Maine. Some of the locations just outside of Portland are called mountains. Some would laugh at how little they are, this is the mini part…and yet world-class gems have been found in these foothills. The gem in the center of this necklace is a Sparhawk mint-green-teal Maine Tourmaline. When you stand at the Sparhawk mine with vortex binoculars you can see the Mt. Apetite farm across the valley. Mt. Apetite hill is just a little bit bigger than the hill at the Sparhawk mine and yet both locations have yielded beautiful gems.

So here we have a triangle, my second favorite shape, surrounded with a tight row of diamonds. It looks awesome. Through the articulated bail loop at the top we have threaded a Cross petite tiff chain. The look is fine genuine Maine tourmaline and natural earth-mined diamonds. Wear this and be at one with Maine.

If you went to the Sparhawk mine it’s 25 miles north of Portland. If you went to the Plumbago tourmaline mine it’s 75 miles north of Portland. Maine is full of beautiful gems.
