Supergirl Emerald & Diamond Necklace
I know the kid who made this. I mt him with his dad in our store when he was still in high school. He was excited to meet us for the first time. What I remember most about him were his eyes and his aura of enthusiasm. It was just rolling off of him. He liked gems. He came to see our tourmaline.
The kid’s name is Derek. It’s now 25 years later. Derek has become a genius gem cutter and a master jeweler.
Derek made this S necklace for us. I call it his Superman or Supergirl Serious.
We furnished the two diamonds and the emerald. The emerald is good: it’s green, and like most emeralds, it’s included, guaranteed. The emerald slides freely at the bottom of the Supergirl S. Top to bottom is 1 1/4-inch. The chain is 14K yellow gold, slides freely through the back of the S and drops the necklace two inches from your heart.
