Tilt-a-Whirl Fancy Color Sapphire & Diamond Necklace

Here is my admission: too often I choose because a piece is simply delightful. It’s magical. It’s fun. This is a tilt-a-whirl of gems…colored sapphires…a fun, playful piece. It’s kind of like the bright colors of rides in an amusement park.

There are seven sections, in three sizes, attached; five of them are hinged to move independently. As you move, your tilt-a-whirl moves with you. Your gems, your colors are locked in securely. In the center of each group of three gems, there is a tiny diamond.

The chain is attached to the colors. Its overall length is 18 inches, and it is adjustable to be worn at 16”, 17”, or 18”. The twenty-one colored sapphires equal 1.70 carats total. The 7 diamonds equal .07 carat total weight.

Here is my guarantee: the natural gem colors will surprise you. They are intense. Most of our jewelry is serious because it is made of real gold and gems. This piece is a fun, playful necklace. The colors are green, honey, orange, red, purple, yellow, and blue.

A few last thoughts

When we were kids, we went to a seaside amusement park. One of the rides was the Tilt-A-Whirl, a ride with a wavy surface with round dome-top cars spinning about. There was room for three to sit in each car, and a safety bar to hold you in. The ride would start, and the colored cars would spin. Kids loved it. This necklace is light, lively, and fun. The colors are fabulous.
