Tucson: As we headed up the west side of the valley, I said, “Is this a new road home?” He said, “We’re going to a lookout.” We turned left and headed into a yellow sky, a million Saguaro cacti on the sides of the mountains. As we climbed higher, this was the wild west of my childhood dreams. The road narrowed, sides became steeper on both left and right. There was no place to stop. We crossed the pass. The sky was orange; the cliff walls had an impossible ascent of Saguaro cactus. I saw orange sky to the west, black mountains 30 miles away, and in a column of sky above, twilight blue stars twinkling. In all my life in the east, I’ve never seen anything like this.

Our Star Pass Western Sunset Necklace is set with a rare pear shape orange Spessartite garnet surrounded with diamonds, a twilight blue oval sapphire surrounded by diamonds, and additional clusters of little diamonds sprinkled in on the chain. The 18” 14K white gold chain has 3 closure points at 16”, 17”, and 18” to allow for an adjustable length. This piece with its asymmetrical balance is totally unexpected and really, really beautiful.
