Compass Rose Bracelet
The compass rose is a reminder
…we are not merely travelers
But we are the navigators of our destiny.
The diamond version has a dedicated bracelet, hinged and linked to the diamond skylink on one side, for security. The standard size is 7-inches, but may be special ordered in any size (measure your wrist, just above the wristbone, and add 1/2-inch for best bracelet fit).
The Compass Rose has appeared beautifully illustrated on maps since the 1300’s. The term “rose” comes from the layered compass points resembling the petals of the well known flower. It is a reminder of our internal compass, staying focused and remaining on course.
The compass rose is an old design element found on compasses and maps to show cardinal directions and frequently intermediate direction. The “rose” term arises from the fairly ornate figures used with early compasses. Older sources sometimes use the term “compass star”, or stella maris (“star of the sea”), to refer to the compass rose.
Early forms of the compass rose were known as wind roses, since no differentiation was made between a directional point and the wind which emanated from that direction.
