Oval diamonds look big. For the same weight they look larger than an equal weight round diamond.
Out of curiosity we took an oval diamond ring around the store and asked colleagues to guess the weight of the center diamond. Guesses ranged from just shy of a carat to 1.5 carats. The actual size of the center – .70 carat! Everyone was surprised. Oval diamonds look big.
