Do Not Consider
Unless She is at Peace With Snakes
Seventy-three years ago, in 1951, the war had been over for several years. Supply lines throughout the world had returned to normal. Gems were flowing to America from all over. Gold was ridiculously reasonable, and some of Europe’s best jewelry craftsmen had fled the continent and were settled in our largest cities. We experienced a flowering of creativity and craftsmanship in ways we had never seen before. This necklace was from that moment in time.

Everything about this necklace is remarkable. First, there are 45 light green cabochon emeralds from Colombia, South America. Each is smooth, rounded and all are guaranteed to be rainforest cloudy. All are guaranteed not to match. They form a complete circle around the neck and look fabulous. The overall length is 16 ¼ inches. It’s worn high for drama. The dress is chosen to go with the necklace. We recommend this for a couple that spends at least two months every year in a warm southern climate.
This piece is rare, appropriate for a princess. In 1951 how many were made? A dozen… not a chance. Six… not likely. Three… a remote possibility. The chance, though, of finding over 100 emeralds the same size was slim. Emerald is rare. Other gems could have been used. What we do know is one was made, and this one is available today to acquire… The only one for sale anywhere in the world.
Why We Love This Piece
This is over the top exotic, it’s grand, it’s elegant, it’s really beautiful. The emeralds were found near the equator. If you buy this piece, promise you will wear it to exotic parties and fun destinations, and always be prepared to accept comments and compliments. We’re envious of you.
