At the top of the hill stood an old farmhouse. A weathered shingled shed leaned in the green field, and a piece of rusty farm equipment poked through the tall grass. The first rumbles carried across the valley before the wind began to rise.

Clouds gathered, heavy and bruised purple, rolling fast. Flashes lit the horizon.
