There is a feeling when you pull up to a lobster pound. A feeling of genuine, real, authentic, Maine. Inside: dark, cool, humid, sound of running water in the pools, 1, 1 ¼, 1 ½, 2 pounds, lobsters dark mottled green, scooting about. I live in Maine. The Alewife Brook Farm is in my town, it’s a saltwater farm. They grow vegetables in the fields along the brook, they have chickens running loose about the yard, one brother has a lobster boat and fishes off the Cape Elizabeth shore. After I make my selection they ask “Do you want seaweed? Seaweed is for the comfort and longevity of the lobsters.” Hannaford, our local grocery store, doesn’t ask if you want seaweed.

Eight big lobsters head to tail, a fully articulated bracelet. At the lead lobster there’s a tiny lobster trap, and inside is an even tinier loose baby lobster rattling about. The finishing touch – a lobster claw clasp. We make this in silver or gold.
