Maine tourmaline was first discovered by two young men in 1820 who, on one fall day, had hiked miles to the east of Paris village in Paris, Maine. Mt. Mica has been in continuous operation ever since and has yielded thousands of carats of tourmaline crystals. It is known all over the world, as one of the premier locations for exquisite tourmaline.
