Symbol of all who dedicate their lives to others’ safety

Lighthouses are stately marine castles by the sea. They are solid, solitary sentries warning of rock cliffs and hidden shoals guiding ships and passengers to a safe return home.
Once upon a time, lighthouses were manned twenty-four hours a day by men and sometimes their wives and children. The men wore navy blue uniforms with decorative polished brass buttons proclaiming their service and position. By day they took care of all the details of property, watched the horizon for sailing ships and at night adjusted the wick, lit the oil lamp, and prayed for the safety of all who were about the sea that night.
This Keeper of the Light Bracelet is reproduced in silver using as masters, actual brass buttons worn by lighthouse keepers and men of the Life Saving Service who dedicated their lives to protecting all who traveled the sea.
