By day, the mysteries slip by just beneath the surface. At night, beneath the moon, beneath the waves breaking the surface, creatures of the deep rise catch air and glide beneath the stars. Perhaps that is why we hesitate to go swimming in the dark. We have no idea who or what may be out there waiting.
I live at the shore in a 100-year-old cottage 50 feet above the sea. After the sun goes down every night, I go out to the railing to watch the moonlight on the water to see the boats with their lights as they sail into the night. I listen for the sounds of the waves on the shore. I wait for something… I’m not sure what, but I wait every night.

Whale under the Aurora Borealis
The Mysteries of the Sea necklace is the size of an American half dollar, 30 mm or slightly more than an inch in diameter. A glistening mother-of-pearl crescent moon. A blue Topaz star in the night sky. A white whale tail carved from a 15,000-year-old ancient mammoth ivory tusk. The ocean has four silver ripples in the sea. It’s all out there.

Why We Love This Necklace
Most jewelry simply sits pretty. There is color, shape, and form. It sparkles. It may even be elegant. This piece, in addition to being beautiful, tells a story of romance and the sea. It speaks of mystery and hints at the possibility of discovering new friends…interesting people. What we suggest is to spend time thinking about the piece to achieve a deeper understanding. Go to the shore under a full moon and a rising tide. Spend an hour listening to the sounds of the evening. Skip Netflix for one night. You will have stories for when someone comments on your new necklace.
