I was in the army, the real army?   Not really… I was in the National Guard. They called us weekend warriors. My group were engineers. They taught us how to shoot, do hand to hand combat, do the infiltration course. Most of our time though was spent with machinery and how to build things. We were engineers. We operated dump trucks, entrenching machines, steam rollers, air compressors, big drills mounted on trucks. They taught how to build things. Need a new airport. A safe place to land planes that’s what we did.

I remember though looking at tanks and tank tracks and being impressed with the tanks ability to plow through. The magic was in the big serious metal link tracks… Treads that could take you anywhere.

This is not a tank track. It was what I thought of when I first saw this piece. This is a fine piece of jewelry. Tubes of polished 18k yellow gold polished and alternating with a textured pattern. 8 inches long. It’s worn loose.  7/8 inches wide, it’s a big splash of gold. Made in Italy in the 1960’s. This is elegance refined. You will dazzle everyone you encounter with the power of this piece.  Weight 42 Grams.
