Garnets occur in every color. Back in the 1920’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s, almost everything in garnet was unattractive. Most of what the world had to offer was pyrope garnet, also referred to as bohemian garnet. It was ugly, it was the most uninspiring gem known to humankind.

Then they started discovering exotic garnet colors in Africa. This is a rhodolite garnet. As a rhodolite there is good, better, and best. This is, a “best” gem. It’s the color of a fine port wine. The cutting is a checkerboard and the color is superb. If you’ve ever desired a garnet this is a super piece. This color is so rare that if two of you want it, number 2 would be a maybe, but highly unlikely. This is a truly lovely gem.

Orders under $2000 are shipped via FedEx Standard or US Priority Mail. Orders over $2000 are shipped via FedEx Priority Overnight or US Express Mail, and are delivered as Signature Required packages. Use the postage-paid/insured label included in your order for free returns and exchanges, or call for a free insured label for orders over $2,000. Jewelry must be returned to us in original condition, unused and unworn. Special orders made to a customer’s specifications are not returnable.
