Ruby Throated Hummingbird
Really, They are Real Rubies
If you think about when and where and how you feel about a hummingbird experience, often, you’re not expecting, you’re not anticipating. You are sitting outdoors next to a flower, it’s summer, and rarely is it more than just mere seconds. You hear something. You feel a a light touch, a breeze. Something moves out at the corner of your eye. You turn slightly, not to frighten or scare, and there poised in mid-air a bit bigger than a bug is a bird in color, poise, perfect, present, surreal, a ghost of presence. You hold your breath. You look, you blink and it’s gone.
The Hummingbird waits for no one. It’s presence is a moment of grace. You have been blessed.

Ruby Throated Hummingbird
Really, They are Real Rubies
Our hummingbird is ruby, diamond, green garnet, and blue and white sapphire set in white gold. In America today, there are 7 small and 3 large. Very few for such a big country, and we have them because we have you, our 14,000 email friends and our sense of confidence that 10 of you are waiting for the opportunity to capture the magic and memory of your close contact with hummingbirds.

Oh yes,
and one more thing about this piece:
it’s reversible!
Dressed up, the gem side is real red rubies at the throat, brilliant green garnet along the back, blue sapphire wings, and white sapphires near the tail. This is the side to be worn when you are feeling on top of the world and you’re attending the perfect event.
The reverse side is simple, smooth, polished white gold with a dot at the eye. This is for the times you play it simple. And, if you get into a conversation about hummingbirds, you lean in close and say, “Let me show you something magical,” then flip it over. Wait and see how much fun that is…
