Sierra Nevada
Yes, Sierra Nevada is a grand mountain range out west, partially in Nevada, mostly in California. If you were dropped in by parachute with a two-week supply of food, most of us could be content for a day or two. Truth, though, you’re in the wilderness with bears, coyotes, and wolves…wolves howling at the moon in the night sky. You begin to figure out that among your priorities is safeguarding your food supply.
Fortunately, they gave you 95 feet of rope. You questioned at first, why rope? And why so much? But, as day one passed and you heard the wolves in the mountains howling, you used the knife that they conveniently supplied, to cut the rope and use it to hike your provisions up into a tree. Perfect? No! But a step in the right direction.

Why This Ring Is a Really Good Choice
For An Outdoorsy-Type
They are called the Sierra Nevada Mountains from the Spanish word “Sierra,” meaning saw, because the mountains out west have peaks. As you look at our ring, the shank on the left and right sides rises to a peak. The gem in the center is safely surrounded, like your food supply on a rope up a tree.
The gem is safe. Perfect? No! Sapphire is the second hardest gem to diamond which gives it great wearability. All gems, though, can be chipped, nicked, or worn, through ordinary wear. If you’re the outdoorsy type, blue sapphire is your best bet.
Why We Like This Ring
Simplicity. A halo of white gold and certain, serious safety, with a perfect, pure, blue sky sapphire safely locked within. The blue sapphire is brilliant on your hand. The little mountain range east and west is an uprise of white gold. The ring sits low, smooth, and comfortably on your hand. The look is awesome.

The Creatures in the Woods
As you’ve thought about your situation, these animals and more have become part of your concern. The food, rope, and tree are part of your adaptation to this new home.
