Tasmanian – Blue Topaz, Sapphire, & Diamond Earrings

This is a curious family of blue gems plus one tiny white diamond sparkling at the top. It’s a big tealy-blue topaz, a medium tropical blue topaz, and a smaller Atlantic blue sapphire. These gems are snuggled close together, prong-set in a pierced-post friction-back design. They sit low on the ear. Blue is everyone’s favorite color.

Tasmania is a big triangular island to the southeast of Australia in the mulit-hued Tasmanian Sea. Our gems are set low and comfortably close to the ear lobe in 14K white gold in a pierced-post friction-back design.

Why Tasmania? Tasmania is a curious island; it’s a province of Australia. At 26,000 square miles, it’s 1/3 smaller than the State of Maine…which means it’s actually pretty big. The blue colors of the ocean surrounding are legendary. Among the animals found in Tasmania are kangaroos, platypus, wombats, Tasmanian devils, and penguins. Tasmania is 150 miles southeast of Australia and is in the South Pacific. While both blue sapphire and topaz are found in Tasmania, our Tasmanian earrings’ gems are world-sourced.
