Blue Maine Tourmaline Dangle Earrings

Here is what we love about this pair of earrings. It is a dangle which means, the tourmaline can move. They swing and sway as you talk, as you gesture. You can’t see when it’s happening, but you can see the look in the eyes of your friend who is sitting across from you at lunch. You look amazing in these tourmaline earrings. These particular gems were found at mine #2, Mount Mica, in Paris, Maine.

 

Tourmaline Crystal Image

Maine tourmaline was first discovered by two young men in 1820 who, on one fall day, had hiked miles to the east of Paris village in Paris, Maine. Mt. Mica has been in continuous operation ever since and has yielded thousands of carats of tourmaline crystals. It is known all over the world, as one of the premier locations for exquisite tourmaline. Shown above is a hand drawn picture of one of the tourmaline crystals that was found in the 1800’s.
