I read the book The Outlander several years ago. I remember being swept back to a time before memory, to an ancient Scottish past. I remember a hill, a wooded area, a circle of stones, echoes, and flashes of a near-present past. When we completed this ring, I’d never seen anything like it. It was all white gold, except for this mysterious gold ring at its center surrounding the blue sapphire.
I’m used to seeing a newly completed ring, understanding its essence, and moving on to something else. The yellow gold circle in the center stops me every time I look. It’s a magical ring.
