Blue Sapphire & Diamond Ring
He has a sailboat. He’s had a sailboat since he was 12. He grew up on Cape Cod, fronting Buzzard’s Bay. He had mastered sailing by the time he was 15. Blue water with sparkly light on the waves was in his blood. He’d grown to understand the wind as it raced across the water. He knew its strength and exactly how it would fill his sails.
He met her on the dock. She was dressed in all white. He knew within seconds they would be together forever. As the years went by, they would sail up to Maine for the month of July. She trusted him totally. Her only requirements were six dinners ashore for what she called “white tablecloth” dining, and a bed and breakfast stay with a view of the harbor every now and then. He was fine with that. They sailed into their 60s.
